This summer, we’re making it easier than ever to get into the shop.
Our 6-session knifemaking class is now open enrollment, which means you can sign up at any time and start on any Tuesday or Thursday between May and August. No waiting for a set start date—just jump in when it works for you.
Each student will complete six 3-hour evening sessions in the shop, working through the full process of creating a handcrafted blade from raw steel to finished piece.
You’ll move through the process alongside others at different stages, with hands-on guidance every step of the way.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and forge your blade
- Heat treat for strength and durability
- Grind and refine your shape
- Fit your guard
- Add your handle and shape it
- Finish, sharpen, and bring it all together
How It Works:
- Start any Tuesday or Thursday (May–August)
- Attend one or both sessions per week for six sessions
- Each session runs 3 hours in the evening from 6pm - 9pm
- Join a working shop environment with others at different phases of their builds
